I have a 2009 Explorer with 210K miles on it. I think the transmission is starting to go. The car is in excellent condition, just the driver seat shows wear...an of course, so does the engine and transmission.
With money, not being an option, where can I go to review costs for a new engine and transmission? I keep finding used engines, but i do not want to install a used engine.
I'd ultimately like to install something with more horse power. If it's around $4,000.00 to install, it is worth it to me.
I have a brand new Ford F150 Lariat with only 3K miles and a Jeep Trailhawk.
I want to keep the Explorer going for reasons that are not worth discussing.
Thoughts?
