About 4 weeks ago my 95 explorer would not start. I new immediately that the culprit was the fuel pump. I replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter. that fixed the problem.

Now the exploder wont start again. I'm hearing the fuel pump turn on when the ignition is switched. So it seems the fuel pump is ok. I should mention that two mornings in a row i had to crank the engine 4-7 times before it would start. The next day it would not start.

Relays tested, inertia switch ok, pressure is ok

Anyone have any ideas?

Camshaft or crankshaft position sensors. I had the very same issue and also changed the pump. These sensors were the problem. I changed both and it has been 2 weeks with no problems as of yet.
