When idling, the engine does some serious vibrating when I turn the AC on. Also, there's a constant sputtering noise coming from the engine, AC on or not. Engine doesn't miss, just makes this sputtering noise.

Any ideas?

Thanks

When was the last time you had a tune-up? When you engage your A/C clutch it puts a significant load on your engine. If you have a sputtering noise without it engaged this sounds like this might be a miss. With it engaged your engine is under more load and still has the miss will become more noticable.

A couple things you can try is:
With the engine off unplug and reseat each plug wire one at a time, both the coil end and plug end. It might help to have a little bit of plug greese and dab it in each end of the wire with a Qtip. If there is any corossion this will help a little. If after this simple test you still have the sputtering noise you will need to check your plugs. If it's been +80k miles since last change they could be due.

Just bought it 2 months ago... never had a tune up done.

Thanks for the reply!

Clean your MAF, IAC, and throttle body. Might be a good time to invest in now plugs and wires. Also run some seafoam. Vids included below.

Intake cleaning

Seafoam

Also heres a helpful mod that not a lot of people know about.
