i bought a 2013 Explorer Limited 3.5 AWD wrecked. after tear down i found the engine got cracked from the collision. i have a police interceptor explorer with a 3.7 engine for parts, is a successful engine swap possible?

Seems very likely. The 3.7 is basically the same as the 3.5L with a bigger bore diameter so it should fit the same.
