Engine Swapping?????

Hello everyone, here is the set-up:
I am curious about some compatibility issues.
I have a 90 ranger 2wd that is 4.0/a4ld-both are about shot. The A/C is shot as well.

I also have a 94 Explorer 2wd 4.0/auto. engine-trans-a/c is all good in this one just very wrecked.

The question:
Will the 94 engine work with the 90 ecu and wiring?

Will the 94 tranny work as well?

Does anyone know if I can swap the whole a/c compressor/evap/accum/.

I have just been striking out on this info. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like your best bet would be swap engine, tranny and ECM, wiring harness all from the 94 to your ranger. Basically you would be turning your 90 ranger into a 94 with a body of a 90. As for the A/C system, I'm not sure there is any difference from 90 to 94, as long as you get it recharged. Maybe someone with more a/c knowledge can chime in here. Your 94 motor will not work with your 90 ECM.

I have heard multiple things about this, can anyone tell me the diff between the 94 and 90. The last I heard was the upper intake and thats it, then somthing about a cam sensor.

I still cant find anything about the tranny
