My 97 Explorer XL's Engine Temp guage doesn't work (The top Left guage) It moves but not past "C", i'm thinking its the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor. Am i correct in thinking this or is there some other issue?

You mean the gauge temperature sender, yes very likely. It has one wire. I would also replace the thermostat too if you have the OHV engine. Be sure to get one with a bleed hole or the motorcraft one.
