Engine thermostat guage cold

the temp guage is pretty much showing cold all the time. Have noticed in warmer weather it moves up some. Heater does get warm to hot but not really hot. it seems like i am hearing the termostat click on and off but notice there is no change in temp guage. Any suggestions, please.

You may hear the a/c compressor cycle but you won't hear the thermostat. Sound like you DO need to replace the thermostat.
