Well Ive been posting a lot about the plugs I pulled out of my truck and the problem I was having.
It started about 3 weeks ago when the truck started sputtering and check engine light came on and said "multiple/random cylinder misfires" I pulled the plugs, and they were purpleish/reddish on the bottom (70k on my truck). I replaced them with the comparable bosch ones, to see if that was the problem. I also put new wires on. That fixed the problem for a little, then it started doing the same thing. I figured...im due anyway, lets get the transmission fluid flushed...I got that done, and the truck shifts a lot quicker, but the sputtering is still there.
I dont know what to check next. The check engine light has not come on yet...but whenever I am at LOW RPMS, going up a hill (ie if I dont step on itgoing up a hill), the thing will start to jerk, kinda like a transmission slipping but also feels like its missing. The RPM guage stays fairly steady, which lead me to believe transmission problems. Where should I start? The transmission fluid that came out with the flush was perfect according to the ford reps.
Mod's are listed below if any of them would make a difference.
Thanks!
