Having a hard time getting engine to start. The fuel pump, fuel pump relay, IAC, MAF sensor and fuel filter have all been changed. Have fuel pressure in the rail. Yesterday the truck started fine. It seems like after sitting awhile (overnight) the thing just cranks and will not start. Yes, I have spark. Also have checked the switch (inertia) in the cab, good there. I am baffled. Any suggestions. Ranger is a 95 with 3.0 V6.

Here is what I found so far: When I cycle the key on/off about ten times the truck will start. After that runs fine. Can shut it off and restart it...no problem. The problem is when it sits for an extended time, it seems that the fuel pressure is decreasing while it sits. So it seems to me that the fuel pump is fine, no fuses are blown and the relay works. Could this be a PCM problem or could it be in the ignition itself?

Thanks for the numerous replies!!!! Sold the thing. Never again Ford!!
