You don't have to do anything but show up w/long pants and a helmut and be 18, if you don't have a helmut you can rent one fopr $5. When you get to the gate tell them you wanna race.

well as it turns out i think i'm droping out of this run, i'm sorry guyz, u won't miss me anywayz. i just don't feel like driving 6 hours out friday night and then 6 hours back on sunday an then wake up for school at 7 the next morning, maybe over the summer when i have my exaust and a few other tricks.

I'm thinkin... If we're going to race the SOHC trucks, then it should be for something funny, like buying the fastest truck dinner or something. Adding money to the equation makes things ugly, even among friends, IMO.

I'm not sure exactly how much it is to race, it's either $30 or $40- but unfortunately, as soon soon as you get beat by someone else, you're disqualified, because they run Elimination on saturday from what I understand. I'll try and call tomorrow or saturday if I get the chance, but I'll have a definite answer up here soon.

Tara, Hotness looks really good with that wing, you just need to get some Cobras on there to complete the look already

I could probably manage a 10 second 1/4 mile... if I caught that 7 second Escort from last year and tied it to my rear bumper

Called Englishtown today and got some info for us:
Check in for racing is 12 noon saturday the 16th, so we can all sleep in late this time. They'll be looking for proper working brakes, gas leaks, etc. We're gonna be in the "Ford truck" class, which is open to all trucks and SUV's. From noon til 4pm it's bracket racing, which basically means you guess what time your truck will do down the 1/4 and if you're right, you get points. If you're not.. *shrugs* You can race as many times as you can until 4, which is when they begin Elimination. After that, you lose to someone faster and you're out. As in disqualified.

I reserved a room at the Ramada off Route 33 today, $60 a night. So far I have Cj and myself definitely, could use a few more to split the cost up even further!

$12 for spectators (parking outside the show)

Well it looks like I will pass on this run. Since Hotness ain't welcome to come around based on what a few others said over the past few days. It looks like what work Tara and I are doing to her truck gets pepoles feathers (or scales j/k) in a up roar. We are going to another truck show and haunted truck ride Tara forund. Hope you guys have fun. If yah change your mind you guys are welcome to join us.

P.S...............and for the record, I dont see any harm in racing for a few bucks for fun. i talked to a few others on this board and they see my point of a friendly wadger. ****, who ever won could have just had a few more bucks to share with there truck IMOP. But it looks like i offended pepole, but im sorry if i did.

As for the pissiniess last week, it all stemmed from the same thing all of our arguments start with: a misunderstanding. Dave, sorry you feel that way, but I'd rather race for fun. Tara, I totally understand being broke and not wanting to blow all your $$ on tolls food and gas! Thanks again for my awesome Bday present... which smells like Gain.... and so does my work truck... and Blackjack..... LOL.
