exchanging transfer cases HELP!!!!!!

Hey, I have been trying to find out if the transfer cases from a auto trans will interchange with with one from a 5 speed stick. Both are from the same year explorer (1991). I feel kind of goofy for asking but I dont know much about drive tranes thanks bryan blowmeover1@yahoo.com

Thanks,I wanted to find out for sure seeings how thay are still both still in the the trucks (alot of work for nothing) both trucks are dead :roll: right now. going to take both to make one that moves down the road
