Explorer Express Hoodlifters!!

I installed a set of Explorer Express Hoodlifters tonight. They really work well.

What I like best is that they open the hood wider than the standard prop rod. This enables better access into the engine compartment. There's also no fumbling in the dark trying to find the hole for the prop rod to fit into.

Installation time was about 30 minutes. All that is required is the installation of 4 brackets and the gas cylinders. The installation manual was very easy to follow giving the exact measurements to locate the brackets. The only thing that the manual left out was a description of how to install the locking clips. After taking a good look at the ball end of the gas lifters I could see the two small holes which the locking clips had to pass through in order to secure the cylinders.
