Explorer fender trim color?

I was wondering which color was closer to the factory color of the fender trim on the Explorer sport (1995). I just painted them flat black but it comes off closer to gray. I was wondering if maybe semi gloss black would be better. Anyone have any ideas or opinions? or maybe the bumper spray paint?
