Explorer Frames

It would seem that 98+ Rangers have a modular frame.

Anyone know if this is the case for 2nd gen Explorers?
It would make my Ranger 4x4 conversion way easier.
There are about 7 2nd gen Explorers at Pull and Save and no 4th Gen Rangers.

The Explorer's two side chassis rails are each "one continuous piece of steel" running from bumper to bumper - so I guess that means its not modular.
