Hi Everyone:
I just bought a 2004 Explorer XLS and it has developed a noise in the front end and I am not sure what it might be.
The noise is a clunking (not a repeating clunk, just a single clunk) and it happens when I turn the steering wheel approx 45 degrees to the left. I don't get this noise when I turn right nor does it happen when I make a full left turn.
I haven't had the time to look at the front end (I am hoping I can look at it this week) but I am thinking it might be a ball joint acting up. Can anyone please share their opinion with me as to what they think this might be? Thanks.
