Explorer hood lift struts on ranger hood?

i was wondering if i could get a set of explorer hood lift assist gas struts and put them on my ranger hood hinges.

or would i have to get explorer hood hinges and struts together?

I am not sure, but I bet you could fab something up. Maybe you can just get the strut mounts for the hood, too.

try the Taurus hood lift. There are all kind of Taurus at the bone yard. Something about that car (related to Pinto?). Am sure they will work just fine.
