2005 explorer 4.0
Hi, iv just replaced the cylinder head gaskets on my 2005 4.0l explorer now it won't start. I have a spark and fuel out of the injectors
Can anyone help
Both heads have been skimmed but when doing the timing I had no specialised kit so timed it by eye and measurement. I think I got it spot on.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated
Andy

Not saying your eyes are off but from what I have read about timing, it can't be done with the eye..

Honestly that is what I would look at first,

ok, i got the timing gear from my friendly ford dealer and timed it properly. still no start.
It sounds like the timing is retarding.
i know the timing is correct and the fuel and spark are present.
A little lost now

Have u looked at your spark plugs? Are they new? And when u say skinned what does that mean? U had the surface milled down?
