Explorer Vs. Lincoln Town Car

hmm so i was in a car accident today. it was completely not my fault. i hit the side of an elderly lady and t-boned her.

so im driving down the left lane of this road. everyone always seems to sit in the left lane. not the turning lane but the left lane. so i switch lanes to the right lane as i always do at that intersection. there was about 20 cars backed up in the left lane. during a green light, someone thought it was a brilliant idea to let this elderly woman in her lincoln to pass and go up into this driveway. she passed over doubled solid yellow lines into my lane. with 20 or so cars to my left i never saw her and hit her. my explorer is probably totaled, but not as much as you would think it would have been.

her dash got raped.

words of the wise: always strap your sub box down. i had my sub box in the back that i just put back and didnt hook up or strap down. the force of the accident threw the box forward bending my back seats forward. if i were going any faster my box would have made its way up to the front of my car. at over 100 pounds it would have killed me for sure. also WEAR YOUR SEATBELT. it saved my life and i never even hit my airbag, both of which deployed.

Wow! Just be glad someone wasn't in the passanger seat. They may have been killed. Thats just wild! Explorer faired quite well though! Probably some frame damage though.

she was bleeding from her head and went to the hospital. but she got out of her car and came over to mine and was like "are you ok?" i responded i was fine but you are not. she then asked the police officer if she could go into the doctors office to get her medicine. she was pulling into a doctors office's parking lot. the cop was like, "maam your bleeding from the head." shell be fine. well she better. shes got my explorer to pay for.

it was her fault but the police investigation hasnt been conducted yet. with the evidence i think it would be very hard to say it was my fault. if its otherwise, i will get very pissed and fight it in court.

Yeah.. I don't see how it could be anyone else's fault but hers unless you were haulin ass. Her car is faaawked! Hopefully she'll be okay. You should also have a little more sympathy at least until you find out if she's going to live.

Could be considered you not having your vehicle under control. Just something to think about though.

this is true, but i had the right of way, she crossed over double yellow solid lines, and i was goin the speed limit.

hmm just got off the horn with my girl whose brother is a cop in a neighboring town. he says its definately the older ladies fault. we will see what tomorrow brings.
