Currently I am an owner of a 1997 Ford Explorer 4x4. She will crank and want to start in this weather, but then nothing. I'm terribly afraid I may ruin my starter. Eventually she'll catch, or I have to wait until the weather is completely dry to start up.

Problem is, I live in an area where it rains and it is misty quite often. This frustration is putting a damper...on everything and I'm very disappointed.

Help. Any suggestions?

Clean your Idle Air Control first, see how that works.

I did that already. It worked fine for awhile, and now I'm back to square one again.

Maybe it needs to be replaced?
