If you think the 2nd gens are bad, the 04's and newer will really bug you lol.

i dont think they are bad vehicles just frustrating when you have to put 500+ in it at one time. my mom has a 04 chevy aveo and when the timing went out it ruined 2 of her valves the cost of that was 1100.

last thing i know from my mechanic is he believes its running rich. Isnt running rich is when not all the fuel being burned?

Well good and bad news. The reason my car wouldnt start was of course i flooded it. The spark plugs need to be replaced but the reason it was running bad was bc the guy who put my manifold on hooked vac lines backwards. I was shocked bc hes been my mechanic for 4 yrs. So the new mechanic is replacing plugs and oil because plugs were probably fouled an oil had a little fuel mixed in it.

Glad it wasn't a major repair. Let your other mechanic know and see if he offers anything like maybe a partial refund, credit for future service.......

I am def. going to talk to him he was probably in a rush because all the snow we had he was backed up. but thats no reason not to label the vac lines.

I've been wrenching for 25+ years and put my plug wires on wrong a few times. Forgot some RTV a few times, missed some vac lines... Granted I'm not paying myself for the work, but it happens.

He's going to say "why didn't you bring it back to me to resolve it?" So have a good answer ready...

the reason i didnt have it brought back to him is bc my road side assistance only covered 50 dollars that would of been a 150 dollar tow. I called him twice didnt even call me back so i had no choice but to take it to a good techncian near my house.

That works... Just thinking ahead of the stuff he'll say...

There ya go. Hard for him to argue with that.

ya this time its 350. 150 of it was my fault when i flooded the engine. But im kinda glad i did bc now i know some vac lines were off and i never knew i had a bad wheel bearing that must of been that loud noise ive been hearing every once in awhile. The wheel bearing was 100 with part and labor to put in. So i hope now i dont have any problems for a long time.
