Hi,
My 1999 Explorer sohc has just started to have a small problem - occasionally. It starts fine, ticks over fine, although I think it might be a little low at around 600 625rpm. But sometimes after putting it into reverse, reversing out and putting it into Drive, the engine revs seem to drop to around 500rpm or lower and the vehicle hesitates, or stalls if I hit the accelerator too quick. It is usually OK if I wait untill the revs increase slightly and then hit the throttle. Any ideas anyone?
I have resd here that the problem could be the IAC. Anyone had the same and sorted it? Thanks for any replies.
Richard

It could be an iac but here is a strange cause of that problem sometimes. A hairline crack of the ceramic on a plug can have these effects sometimes. Sounds dumb but it is possible
