Factory 6cd player not working

HEY all, i have a 06 Explorer Eddie Baur. The 6cd palyer has been startedgiving me problems. I tried to play a cd and get a error message " BAD DISC". Does anyone have any ideas what th eproblem is, am i gonna have to replace the whole unit. I'm cleaned it with a CD cleaner nothing works. Thanks for your assistance.
