Hokay, let's set this at the weekend of the 18th of October. Why don't we try Rausch Creek this time? I know we've all talked about it, but never been there. Their website is Rausch Creek Offroad Park . Cost is the same as Paragon except that it's a one time $10 membership fee, and then $25/day. $5 for passengers. They have their own campground which is included with the daily fee.

Here are Directions . We sign in at the same place we went to last year for the PA rally. Rausch Creek is 50 miles Northeast of Harrisburg, PA, or 45 miles Southwest of Hazleton PA along Route 81.


For hotels, there are two in Pine Grove, PA which is just a couple of miles away. The Econo Lodge (570) 345-4099 has rooms starting at $55/night, the Comfort Inn (570) 345-8031 has rooms for $70/night. Again, these are the hotels we stayed in for the PA rally.

The park is open from 8:30 AM to Dusk. We have to make a reservation in advance, so I need to know who's in and who's out. Once I know who's going, I'll call down and get a reservation at the park for us.

Count me in. Maybe it's a little early in the game to ask, but when and where are we meeting? The park, on Saturday, of course, but how 'bout getting together beforehand on Friday night ? Iwon't be able to get to the area until around 10 o'clock. I'm thinking about staying in one of the hotels that night and then camping at the park Saturday night. (I'd camp both nights if someone will be there with a fire going when I get there. Puting up camp at night by yourself sucks )

HA! HA HA HA HAHAAAAAA!! Tell me about it!! Try putting up a tent by yourself, in shorts, in 40 degree weather, and then having a drunk come over and try to help you, LOL.

Seriously, some of us like to get to Paragon on Friday nights if we're wheelin the next day just because it's so much easier than getting up at 3am to get there. I'll gladly go up then, since it's closer to my house than PAP anyway Don't know what the heck I'll be driving by then, but I'll still be there

Only real question is: Do we want to split a hotel room (much warmer than camping, remember this IS the mountains- it gets DAMN cold up there at night!) Or do we camp?

I said it before, I'll say it again-I trust you guys: I have no prob with sharing a hotel room. Well....maybe one member in particular I don't trust so much anymore, but we won't go there I still have the # for the Pine Grove comfort inn if anyone wants me to see how much and/or make a reservation?

Jeff, were you planning this to last two days? Cuz I keep pushing everyone towards Englishtown's Ford racing/show day on the Sunday after Raush Creek....

with my work schedule.... usually wouldn't be a problem if I know a month in advance.... I'm the supervisor anyway and self schedule but I promised to work a couple of weekends in Oct for them that weekend was one of em.... ooh well never know..

Ya.....ok...it's been a long time...I need to get out and wheel. I'll will be doing the same as you Sat morn. We can meet somewhere and roll down together if you want. I am a bit foggy as to what I need to do money wise for fees.

I'll be camping....who's gunna join me?

I just fitted some A/T's on the rig, but the way you guys wheel there shouldn't be a problem.

You're gonna come down for Raush Creek? KEWL! E-town's on your way back, too...hint hint I'm guessing that some of us will be gettin there Friday night. I'm definitely going to get a hotel room (sorry guys, I'm finished with camping for the year)- if Y'all want to swing by, we can make that the meeting place for Friday night, that way it doesn't matter who gets there when. Does that work?

Anyone interested in splitting a room? Come on guys...need input on this one, especially need to know if anyone wants to go to E-town the next day!

OK, we're set up for Rausch Creek. Traded e-mails with them this morning and we are on the calendar for Saturday, October 18th. Here is a little more info from them on pricing.

Just so you know, all participants will need to become members of RCORP. It
is a $10 fee to join, and all people, including riders, must join. The
membership is good for one year from the date you pay. After that, it is $25
a day for the driver and vehicle. Riders are $5, but on the day that they
pay their membership, they do not have to pay additionally.

I'd suggest going to their website (earlier post in this thread) and downloading the membership/waiver form so we can be ready to go when we get there.

For those that want to camp, I'm waiting on another response from them on that subject. I'll post the info when I get it.

Well, ok...lets wheel sat and etown sun? I'll share a room with you if you want. I actually DON'T want to camp and I have enough work till then to cover the weekend and then some so I can manage one or two hotel stays. When I say work I mean whatever I do after my regular job....lol. Most of the $ will be spent the weekend b4. You guys have a knack of scheduling this stuff right next to my anniversary(13th). First things first, the wife, if I have enough dough left we'll do the room......lol.

BTW, I snore.:frustrate If that is a problem...anyone else snore? We can share a room.

OK, it's on the calendar for 18/19. I will leave early am sat. Friday traffic is totally annoying. I'm sure we will settle the details once the date gets closer.
