my dad has a 2002 explorer and he recently noticed that the fan speed control for the a/c and heat has broken. the only speed that works is 4. 1-3 don't do anything.

im wondering if you guys had any information on how to replace it and if i should go into the ford dealer and buy a replacement or if i can find them cheaper on the internet.

any information would be greatly appreciated.

I second that. Ive done a few on other vehicles, cant say for certain where it is in the Explorer. Its should be in the heater box somewhere, and is usually hard to get at.

thanks guys. my dad went to the dealer and got a resistor for like 20 bucks. me and him installed it. works great now!!
