Faster than should be...Chip??

How can I tell if my engine already has an aftermarket chip?

Chances are it does not have one. Who owned the truck last?

How much faster and are you talking 0-60 or top speed?

I've never pushed the top speed but the 0-60 is FAST, a lot faster than the ~8 sec stock speed it's supposed to have. Not sure of the past owner. By the way anybody know of a good track for times around Blacksburg, VA? I'll post a video of a 0-60 run on the highway soon.

Alot faster is 0-60 in 6 seconds. A littel bit faster is 0-60 in 7.5 seconds.

I need a time.

I've timed it before and it was just barely faster than 6 seconds. Of course that's nothing without any proof so I'll try and get a video on my way to work tomorrow morning.

Stock, the 2-door Sport was 0-60 in 7.9, 1/4 mile in 16.2. I'd be surprised if an otherwise-stock 13 year old truck was any faster than that. Take it to the strip and see how slow it really is.
