Female torx size?

Does anyone know what size the female torx head bolts in the driveshaft flange of a 97 xploder are,dropping to check ujoints loooking for an annoying thud in the rear.

Those are 12mm 12 point I do believe. Might be 13mm but they are a 12 point bolt. you need a 12 point wrench

Thank You Sir,so a regular 12pt socket will fit i was under the impression they were female torx head, great i will get on it!

They are definately 12points and not E-torx. The only e-torx I've found on an Ex is the fuel rail studs on a 1st Gen.

Maniak....YES....the Fuel Rail studs on the OHV (all years, I believe) are the only E-Torx on the whole Explorer. I believe they are an E7...

Everything else is 6 pt. and 12pt....MOSTLY Metric....
