I have a 1997 Explorer XL 2 Door,
I have since put larger 31 X 10.5 R15 Tires on,
but my car has no fender around the wheel well,
so plenty of dirty gets sprayed on my paint.

I have been looking for a fender flares for this model
for the front and back tires, with no luck as of yet.

All the flares seem to be for 4 Door vehicles, not 2 door.

My paint is getting ripped up! HELP!

Since many 2 door explorers are the SPORT model,
they already have large fender flares.

I believe this is why they are hard to find for my car.

Take a look, please help me locate some.

Thanks

well, you could pay a fortune for them from ford (YEAH RIGHT!) you could try a junkyard, any fender flares from a sport should fit your truck. have you tried explorer express (tend to be pricey)? or like performance products.com? bushwhacker must make em for a 2 door. hope ths helps. i would go the junkyard route first. if they look like crap, get em painted.

Id check the junkyard for some or maybe see if Bushwacker will make them for a sport. Ford will charge a arm and a leg for new ones. Some chic rammed into my explorer this sunday. looking at the repair quote the flare alone is $140. Also the ones from ford only come grey with clearcoat. Same color as the ones on my truck already. But hey mud flinging is fun! Id recomend maybe some scratch remover and a good wax. If you have clear coat id will make it look almost new. But if its down to the metal its all bad.
