Ok, so I am very tired of being cold, chipping off ice, using a hand heater for defrost, and being cold inside of my car during this winter time.

At first i thought it was my heater core, but if i touched the right hoses and they were hot, i do believe it is not my heater core. I have inserted an image with the hoses i tested, highlighted in red.

Can someone please tell me if i tested the right hoses to see if the coolant was circulating through the heater core ?

So, if these got hot when i turned the heater controls on, is it safe to assume it is not the heater core it self ? If so, im assuming i should probably replace the blend door/actuator assembly

When mine did the very same thing it was a bad blend door. The door broke and stuck on the cold side. After I pulled the actuator out mine slammed over to the hot side immediately on first use. In the summer time I have a drywall screw that holds the door in the cold position and it seems to work for me but confuses the heck out of anyone else that uses it. I would say its your actuator or blend door from personal experience.

Ok, i just needed a second opinion from another doctor.

I'll post some more pictures on my progress, color coded for you guys

Ok, I'm back (with heat)

Consider this picture walk through as my contribution to this forum that has helped me with so many things when it came to fixing my explorer; which I don't think is a good thing but anyways..

With love, and colors:

This first picture to start you off is taken from the passenger side dash behind the glove box.

Before you cut into your plastic, make sure your actuator is working
