I've had it almost a year now but I finally got some pictures to share. Not many mods yet, just clear corners and new fogs. But a big thanks to everyone here for their help. I can't decide if I should get rid of the roof rack, any thoughts?

i like the clear corners dude! that thing looks nice! id keep the roof rack, i think it looks good just the way it is.

Nice looking Ex. I like the look with the roof rack on. You mentioned you have not many mods yet, what other mods are you considering?

I was thinking of lowering it a couple of inches.
Maybe a new grill. I was also thinking of having the Grey piece on the rear door painted to match the blue paint. (like Black Magic's). I need to change out the speakers.

I need to add a new air intake and possibly new sway bars. And I'm looking a new shocks right now, mine are about shot.

Also I really want to add a sunroof, I'm kind of nervous about that, I've heard a couple of horror stories about leaking.

Nothing too major just things to keep me busy.

not trying to be a jerk, please don't flame.....but if it's a 2001 why does it need shocks already?

I put alot of miles on it, (it's at 42,000) and from what I've heard stock shocks don't last too long normally. In reality there probably not shot, I just want a ride improvement and that's the justification in my mind.

By the way how do you like your Edelbrocks?

ERIK2173 Looking very clean! Keep up the good work. Let me know if you need any help with anything to do or have any questions!

I know how you feel about the miles!

Hey, next you should go for the Super Charger!

ERIK2173 By the way how do you like your Edelbrocks?

Actually I just recieved them from EE yesterday. I havn't got a chance to get them put on yet. I also am getting the EE rear sway bar. It should arrive tomorrow. I"m going to wait to do both things at the same time. I'll start a new post to let everyone know what the outcome is.:redexp:

Thanks,
Black Magic, just as an estimate, how much did it cost you to have the trim on the rear door painted to match the door. I know there's a post on it but I can't find it.

Nice looking X! I like the blue, it's a very nice color. Keep up the good work.
*waves hand and says:"you want to give me your running boards"*:D

"I want to give you my running boards"

Actually I have thought about removing them but other people use them to get in.

Sorry, I have no idea how much it would cost. My brother is great friends with the owner of an Auto body shop here in the area. I had them paint that piece along with my Saleen Wing at the same time and he ended up not charging me. :D

Well if you ever do decide to take them off, let me know and we can work out a price.

ERIK check out Black Magic's page, he shows you how to take off the rack, i took mine off and think it looks 100x's better!

I've looked at his page, (more times than I care to count) and I do like the look without the roof rack, I just am worried as soon as I take the rack off I'll wish it was back on for some reason, and I don't want to keep taking it off then putting it back on. I do alot of camping and fishing during the summer, which is one of the reasons I bought the X and I am just weighing the looks versus function.

Did you know that the stock roof rack is rated for only 100 lbs even distributed?!?

So you really can't put that much up there anyway. You would be better off to get one of those hitch baskets:

That was meant as a compliment, I know you don't mind but alot of us copy off what you do. It's a sharp ride.

100 lbs??????????
Damn, I was unaware of that.
What I've been researching is a storage rack of some sort to hold fishing rods during trips. Nothing is more annoying than listening to them shake during a trip.

I did look at the baskets, but I am getting a rack for my bikes to fit on the rear. I don't as much biking as you do, but it's alot easier to but them on the rear than it is to toss them in the back.

I hear that, the constant noise could be a killer!
