First Oil Change on 2015 Sport

So, during the first oil change on my wife's 2015 Explorer Sport I got an unexpected surprise. On new vehicles, I typically change at 1,000 miles then at 5,000 miles. I'm thankful that I did after looking at the factory filter. Look at that folded drain back valve! Have any of you all seen something like this before? What would cause it? Is is something to be concerned about?

I'm actually doing my first change with 1024 miles as we speak. i googled while its draining to make sure i get it right cause this is my first sport. ill see how mine is in a half hour or so and let you know if mines the same way. I do notice the fram synthetic filter i got is smaller than stock, going to check online if i got the right one....

The FL500s is smaller than what came on it from the factory, actually everything about it was different.

i checked my filter from factory and it was normal. The fram xg10575 filter was correct, and just a smidgen smaller than factory. Sorry i couldn't be of more help.

This was the FL500s, looking at the first picture it's easy to see the difference.
