So, this weekend I did my 155K oil change and tire rotation. One of my tire, I found a screw- smack dab in the center of the shoulder. I don't know how long it's been there, it's an inside shoulder. Seems to be holding air.

I plan on driving on and hoping for the best, short term.

I ordered some 3" body lift pucks that I plan on cutting in half, installing for an additional 1.5" of lift, then getting a set of 33's. This is going to be a (hopefully) quick and cheap process.

The body mount bolts are all 12mm x 1.75 correct? Can I buy all the same lengths? Or, does anyone have the bolts required for the 3" lift and I'll just subtract 1.5".

Found this post, (yeah dad, I did use the search button!)
But, I'm confused about what these measurements are for. Is this for the 3" lift? Can anyone confirm?

I'll look up what the specs are on the bolts here in a minute from the Ford Factory Assembly Manual I have and post them for you. I'll probably be taking a trip to Fastenal too. LOL

Edit: O.k. so I couldn't find the bolt specs in the book but I did find my bodylift instruction manual which has the spec for the longer bolts, so in theory just subtract 3" from the length from these measurements and you have the specs.

(6) 12mm x 1.25 x 180mm ...../
(2) 12mm x 1.25 x 160mm ...../ In the bl instruction manual it has these in the parts list included but in the instructions they're all 1.75's
(4) 12mm x 1.75 x 140mm

I don't know the conversion ratio's from metric to standard but I'm sure one of our Canadian members will chime in on this and set it straight. LOL Sorry I've been out of school too long and I'm past tired right now.

Yes, those measurements were for a 3" bodylift.

great, thanks. One more thing- I've been reading about drilling out the lower body mounts and using nuts and washers. Why can't I just thread back into the threaded lower mount?

If you drill it out you're removing the threads when drilling.

yeah. I guess I was unclear. Do I NEED to drill out the lower mounts and use nuts, if so, why?
