Flashing 4WD light

On my wifes 1996 Limited, when you put it in 4 Hi, and get to about 35MPH, the 4WD light begins flashing, any idea what could be causing this???

It's probably one of the speed sensors in the transfer case.

You need to get Ford to read the codes for you.

thanks, I just did a search and found a gazillion topics pertaining to this... I'll look at the speed sensors, and let you guys know how it turns out!

you can

also take the ground off the battery first for 5 min then hook it back up and see if the computer will reset it self worked on mine
