Flowmaster 40 series

I just had a Flowmaster Delta 40 series put on my 5.0 Explorer with dual exhaust outlets and it's really not nearly as loud as I thought it would be. Of course, I had a 93 camaro Z28 with an 80 series so I'm used to LOUD, but still I'm somewhat disappointed at the sound. Has anyone else run into this problem? Are there extra resonators in the 5.0 system??

Don't brand new mufflers usually take a little time to break in? I'm still researching my exhaust upgrade so I'm not expert... but from what I've read on other threads it usually takes some time before the muffler fully breaks in and you get the deepest fullset sound possible.

plus if you have more than 1 cat it wont be loud.
