I've heard Flo-Pro are on the quiet side. That tends to be how they market themselves. Performance without the "noise".

Thanks celly for the reply. I have never heard that about Flo Pro, but if you are right, then I will be ordering the Flowmaster. thanks again

I have a Flo-Pro resonator and a Flowmaster SUV 50 muffler. I got tired of the sound of the Flowie. Always sounded great outside, but it wore on me over many months in the cab. Just too much drone at certain times. It's perfect now with the resonator (had it on for about a month now). The Flowie is a bit quieter, but still has a nice rumble to it.

I've heard good things about Flo-Pro mufflers, actually. A good Canadian company. :can:

I got the 50 SUV series and I love it....I dont think its all that loud in the cab. It sounds really sweet outside, like a rumble only when ur on the gasand when the car is at idle. I recomend it to anyone. But If your looking for something thats always loud go for a FM 40. hope that helps.

My DF 50 series is sick. I love it, it gets better with age and mileage. Take a look at my link below, "Fun in the snow" to get an idea of the outside sound when giving her "a little" gas, haha. Inside is not bad at all, you can notice it, but it is not annoying by any means.

Thanks for the replys.

Jester1994, that is the muffler that i think i decided on. What is your setup? Did you use a Y pipe for the inlet. I think I decided to go with the 3" Center inlet/outlet DF 50 with a Y pipe after the cats and then a 3 " tailpipe after the muffler wit either a 3.5" or 4" tip. I was told by Midas that a Y pipe and 3" pipes are illegal in NJ but I don't think he was telling the truth (BS). I will probably just go to a custom exhaust place to check with them and have the work done.

At the time I didn't research much on how to do a true dual setup on my Explorer and hte muffler shop just installed a cat back custom system with the flowmaster Delta 50. I goes along the same course as the stock system. It's 2.5in tubing I am pretty sure. I'd like to do a true dual system soon with the Torque monster headers, but that requires mucho $$$.

I love the sound and it is not annoying inside, but it is noticable.
