PIAA bulbs are really good.. i had nokya hyper yellows for a year with no problems.. until my truck was totaled by getting tboned... luminics are pretty good too i hear.. but you can get a vvme hid kit for $36 shipped with a 2 year warranty...

Sylvania does not make a "ultra" bulb in 9145 anyone have a suggestion on another brand bulb ? I am looking for that HID look. Any other size bulb would be able to fit ? Thanks !

Why not just got HIDs? like 5000k or 4300?

Sylvania makes a regular 9145ST SilverStar.

Philips makes a 9145 in their Crystal Vision Ultra...about the same thing as the SilverStar Ultras with the HID look and the longer life.

Regular or Long Life 9145's would probably be best in fog lamps though, since the regular color light would give light lost by the blue/white headlights, especially in fog and rain. Not to mention they cost a heck of a lot less and are probably easier to get.

Thanks Guys.... I bought the Ultra 9005 and they fit nice and they look good.

How has swapping out the fog bulbs worked for you? I have the Ultras as my regular lights on my Sport Trac but still the regular fog bulbs. I am also about to put the Ultras on my Explorer. I was concerned about too much white light in rain/fog and also concerned about possibly blinding people. Right now I actaully like the vision with the Ultras and the regular halogens for the fogs, but am aware of the still "yellow" look people see from my fog lights.
