I have the '04 XLS with the"rubber" bumper that doesn't have the spot for the standard fog lights. There are 2 spots real low on the bumper however that I think lights could be added. Has anyone seen this done before or have any ideas? I'd post a picture of the bumper but with the new forum software I can't figure out how to attach a picture.

Those spots are for tow hooks, if you put lights there then you won't be able to install tow hooks not to mention they're so low you risk breaking your lights on a curb or parking block.

If you must put some there I would go with low profile like these:

Thanks TechGuru, I didn't realize what they were for. I honestly don't think i risk too much damaging them if I were to put some there but I will probably not do it.

I'd hit up a local wrecking yard. You should be able to pick up a bumper with fogs for under $50. If your lucky, find a bumper your cars color.

Thanks for the suggestion guys. The problem with picking up the correct bumper is that I prefer the "rubber" style bumpers over the color matching plastic ones. Also, believe me, i'm no stranger to swapping items from junk yards as i swapped the rear bumper reinforcement on mine with on that has a 2" receiver.
