In most states you must first pass a free of charge hunter safety class to carry a firearm. You then show your safety certificate card when purchasing a license.

This course will go over not only firearms safety, but also covers good hunting practices, such as the importance of cooling the carcass as quickly as possible by field dressing it. This also cuts the amount of weight you have to haul out of the woods.


I highly recommend taking this course asap.

I imagine that would be pretty cool. But now a days it's a lot more restrictive with Marines carrying personal firearms aboard the instillation. Plus I've spent enough time in those hills for a life time.
