ford 2002 sport trac steering wheel on off control cover came off

I accidentially pried it up while putting on the club. Seems like it would just snap back on but I haven't been able to do that. It's not all the way off, just not closed. Wife is not happy about it. Any tricks to getting back on?

The cruise control button? If so, the rubber is separated, and your best bet is going to be replacing them. They're pretty cheap and easy to replace.
