Okay so i just picked up my Dana 44/ Ford 9" for my SAS on my 2000 mountaineer V8 AWD.
I will soon be going for a BW4406 mod... probably come August i think. so here are my questions.
So if i decide to go with the Ford 9" instead of the 8.8...
1. how exactly do i do this tone ring thing? do i just buy the 8.8 tone ring kit off broncograveyard.com and then add that to the carrier and then drill the hole and attach the little magnetic thing to it?
2. how do i convert from drums to rotors? do i need to convert?
3. should i just stick with the 8.8 i mean i know its a strong axle... i can weld the tubes to help with twisting. i can add a locker/ regear. and i would have to convert from drums to rotors. would be cheaper probably.
