Ford concepts from Detroit Auto Show...

What I want to know is, whats up with Ford and their fauz wood trim? It started with the 99 Explorer Limited. Its VERY fake and isnt at all as nice looking as the base black rubberized plastic. Unfortunately the 2002 has it also.

I kinda haven't bothered to respond here for the same reasons already mentioned; we've talked to the engineers in person and also the "Wrangler Fighter" thread got a LOT of response.

I do love that vehicle, though it does look a little too "dune-buggyish" (is that a word? lol) for me. That green Wrangler Fighter with the half doors that had its pic posted in a couple of threads awhile back and was on the Ford No Boundaries tour a couple of months ago; now that one could part me from some of my money. I drooled when I saw it.

Hard to tell how easy it would be to lift/etc from the pic though, oh well.....

If I'm to be stuck with IFS IRS I'll take the dune buggy version :D
