Greetings to all,

My first post as a new member.
Life-long FORD Owner from a FORD family.

Have a 1995 FORD Explorer Eddie Bauer with the 6-cyl. It has 330,000 mi. on it & still going. (same engine, 3rd transmission)
Just acquired a 1997 Explorer Eddie Bauer AWD with the 5-Liter V-8. It has 171,000 miles.

IMHO the Explorer is the best FORD idea ever.
I have many stories to tell about the 6-cyl. When the opportunity came along to acquire the 97 V-8 AWD for only $800. Well what can I say, I own it.

Any advice on unique quirks or things to watch out for on the 97/V-8 would be greatly appreciated.

don't pull your front driveshaft then park it, it'll roll away?

and put a tranny cooler in your 95 and a temp gauge so you don't have to replace that tranny again

Good Advice. You would think I might learn.
Have coolers and gauges on all other trucks.
