- 2000 xlt Ranger 3.0 4x4
So I have a 2000 ranger xlt 3.0 automatic that just had a new engine put in 3000 miles ago. Then i was getting a 2-3 flare. o/d was burnt up. Had a rebuild. Still having 2-3 flare.
when i start the truck in the morning it shifts like a dream 1-2 2-3 3-4. for about 15 minutes. It will shift perfect into 3rd and 4th about 4 times and then it will not.
When it should be shifting into 3rd, it just revs up with no accel. no matter what i do it will not go into 3rd. letting off the gas wont work, driving in manual 2nd then throwing it into 3rd wont work. No o/d light flashing, no check engine light. I havnt had any codes pulled, b/c im trying this site first.
I dont know if it is electrical becuase it works beautifully for 15 minutes, or if i need a new valve body/ intermediate servo repair/ band adjustment. all i know is that i need this fixed and that I want to burn my truck. pleaseee help
