found a trailer wiring harness.

my truck is a 91 Eddie Bauer and the trailer harness came out of a 93 it is square and came out of the passenger side. are they compatible?

My 94 was above the jack in the rear left compartment. Don't remember but it may have been square. I know my adapter was short and barely made it down under the truck, had to use a flat 4 to flat 4 extender to reach the ball.

Oreilly has a compatibility drop down list when you search for your year & model, I use it often. Says 91-94 are the same. All my Explorers have the harness in the drivers side, even my 2nd gen.

it is on the drivers' side and it is round and it still had the round dust plug in it and the plug fit yeah! now to solder and heat shrink the wires that were cut and twisted behind the tail lights.
