I guess this can go here.
This is replacing the 2003 Yahama Roadstar, mostly because I missed the 1993 XR650L. Having been riding dirt bikes most of my life, I've been itching to get one of these, and the time finally came.
It's a 2007 Suzuki DR-Z400 SM that I traded my Roadstar for last night.
It's basically stock with the 3x3 air box mod and has been rejetted. It also came with a complete set (pics later) of Warp9 off-road wheels w/sprocket, DOT knobbies and a chain for the dirt set-up. I don't really have too many plans for it in the way of mods, because I want to keep it as reliable as possible since I'll be using it as my DD. These engines are pretty bullet proof anyway. I do plan to get a Yoshimura exhaust system and find a new sticker kit. That's about it.
This morning ready to ride to work:
I already mounted the GoPro on the swing arm and the handlebars to get some good video when I go through the canyons. I'm going to need to make a better mount though, this one was a little shaky.
Caught up to a co-worker on the way in.
This thing is a BLAST!
