Front axle gear housing gasket?

I have a 93x eb and i just fixed my 4x4 switch motor went 4wheeling, with stock tires and got hung up on the front pumpkin (figures i need a body lift and 33's), i knew i was grinding on the housing. After that i went down there to check for any leaks and it was leaking gear oil out of the front pumpkin i just wanted to know if anyone has ever taken the pumpkin apart and replaced the housing gasket.. just want some input before i start taken **** apart.. thanks randy.
