I am doing some work on my 2002 XLT v8 front end and notice that the brake dust shields are very rusted and I would like to replace them. The part numbers are as follows,
Front Right Brake Dust Shield 1L2Z2K004AB
Front Left Brake Dust Shield 1L2Z2K005AB
I cannot find these parts in stock anywhere, which is odd. There don't appear to be any aftermarket versions either. The rear wheel dust shields are still available, which is even more odd.
I could get the version for the sport track,
Front Right Brake Dust Shield 3L2Z1214AA
Front Left Brake Dust Shield 3L2Z1214BA
but I don't know if these will fit or not. They look the same, but it's hard to say.
Can anyone say if the sport track version will fit on my explorer?
