have seen a few posts asking about or talking about brackets to allow the use of stock front brake lines with lift kits. The aftermarket kit is ~$100 I think.

If I can find the part numbers again, there's an option to use F250 SD lines too, I think they're about $25 each. These are perfect on the 91-92 with the two hard lines on the drivers side, and single on the passenger side. I bought these lines but haven't installed them yet.

Being a do-it-yerselfer guy, I wanted a cheap way to use stock renewable parts on the fly if needed.

My Explorer is a 1992.

I used some aluminum flat stock, drilled a couple holes about 3" apart, and fit them in. The factory hard lines had enough length to "pull" enough slack to rework/bend and fit the brackets. Yea, I literally pulled on the lines and redirected as needed, until I could bend the needed (and very tight) 90 degrees to fit the lower hole in the bracket.
They work great thru full cycle of the suspension, is cheap, and uses stock parts. did i mention it's cheap? :)

I did this mod several months ago, no issues or problems.

I parted mine together... hence the home-made mod. heh

After seeing it brought up a couple/few times, thought I'd share.

Do you have pics of the ones that came with your kit?
I'm wondering how the dimensions compare to what i threw together...
