Hello,
New member here. I am working on a 2000 explorer 4x4. There is front end noise{ a grinding noise} about 35 mph.If you jerk the wheel to the right the noise goes away. I assumed{wrong} it was the cv shaft. Replaced it, both sides, and the noise is still there. Is it possibly the wheel bearing? any help is appreciated. There is also new tires
on it also.

Yeah, it certainly could be the wheel bearing/hub assembly. If you are going to keep this truck for a few years, spring for the timken bearing. If not, go ahead and get a cheapy.
The timken will be around $170

sounds like wheel bearing but word of advice get ford bearing it may be more money but the peboys and autozone bearings only last about a year -.-'

I had same problem only on the right side, replaced the bearring and all is good, till now. At 55 and up there is a more dominant grinding and humming. any suggestions?
