Has anyone found that F150 tow hooks or any other ford hooks work and if so what years. I would like to hit the local JY and harvest a couple.

I don't believe they work, but I'm not 100% sure on that. Maybe someone else will chime in

Why not get some hooks for a 2002 or newer Explorer? They were an option starting in '02, and should bolt right up. Any others would need some modification and/or drilling into the frame.

I,ll seek some out. Ive only found them at dealership so far.

Lighten up.

Do you have them on your 97'? If so how is it different from 03'? I want those big geometric ones in the brushed look like you see on the F2 and 350's. those things are hot.

I have them on my 04 XLT they came off a 03 F150 and are black. I have seen the chrome ones but not the brushed look, but both would stand out much better.

Got em. just plan blk 15 bucs at the JY I'll slap them on Sat.

which ones did you get at the JY? From an Ex or a 150?

Navigator. I have an 06 expedition also. The hook part on these look a little diffrent. some what more beefy. They have 2 little tit like things on the inside of each hook. the expd ones are smoother like a bent rod. these look cast.
The mounts all looked the same. I compaired a 150 My expd and the Nav. the Nav was easy to get at. I think it was a 2000.

One more thing have you had your X off road with the REVO's. Like a situation where you had some good wheel travel. Any rubbing?

Nothing too crazy, but I have had it off road. I have had no rubbing what soever.

The hooks are on. If you go for some, get the older ones the part # stamped on them F85A-17A98-CA Im going back to find some for the expd and pull the cheap crap off.

Thanks, I would like to see some pics to see exactly which ones you used. I saw some on ebay for cheap from an F150 but the ebay memeber said they woudl not fit????

I just looked at ebay 3/29 6:30 am east. I saw three listed
851 grandreserve, Ikgonline and carpartswholesale. look just like the ones. the ones up there by dicks auto parts are like the ones on my expedition JUNK. looks like a good pull from a strap would pull them apart. look for some pics tonight.

Here you go. This is my first try at posting pic on a forum. If I dont get it Ill retry.
