I have been sharing my problems and getting advice on this problem on a another thread but under advice I am starting a new thread. I have a 98 Explorer. I have followed the diagnostic thread and extablished that the T-Case clutch seems to be working as I can't turn the front drive shaft in park with motor running and 4wd hi selected and that the front wheels turn in opposite directions. Under load however in 4wd hi or low my back wheels spin and the front wheels stay still. Is there a way to test the clutches under load or is it a pull out and rebuild or replace?
